Ciphertext-only room. Share the id + passphrase out of band. Wrong key → messages stay sealed until you update the key in-room.

Session is tab-only (sessionStorage). Close tab = leave. Host never gets your password. Ciphertext store defaults to in-process memory (ephemeral across cold starts / multi-instance); optional single-node file path is ops-only — not multi-replica.
